According to Recommendations of the Workshop, the Liaison Committee for Asia-Pacific Multilateral Cooperation in Space Technology and Applications (LCAP-MCSTA) was set up in May, 1993, with China as its coordinator. 14 Countries appointed successively their representatives as the members of LCAP-MCSTA. The Countries are Australia, Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kyrghyzstan, the Republic of Korea, Mongolia, Pakistan, Russia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Turkmenistan. LCAP-MCSTA is responsib_ le for: 1) organization, liaison and coordination of AP-MCSTA meetings every year; 2) identification, formation, organization and coordination of cooperation projects; 3) publication of Space Newsletter of AP-MCSTA and organization of Space technology and applications training courses irregularly.
