1st Short Term Training Course on Satellite Technology for Asia-Pacific Multilateral Cooperation in Space Technology and Applications (AP-MCSTA)
During July 22 to August 20, CNSA and the Liaison Committee for LCAP-MCSTA organized the first Short Term Training Course on Satellite Technology for AP-MCSTA. 22 department managers, government administrative officials and engineers from Bangladesh, Iran, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Burma, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines and Thailand came to China for this Course. This Course was cosponsored by Harbin Institute of Technologies(HIT), Northwest Polytechnic University(NPU), Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA). Among the teaching materials, satellite mission analyze, satellite design theory, subsystem technology and manufacturing cases were studied.

Officials attended the opening and closing ceremonies are: CNSA Administrator Luan Enjie, Vice Administrator Guo Baozhu, Foreign Affairs Director General Luo Ge, HIT President Yang Shiqin, BUAA President Shen Shituan. This Course was supported by the OOSA and ESCAP of the United Nations. Mrs. Mazlan Othman, Director of OOSA and Mr. Wu Guoxiang, Division Director of Space Technology Application Section of ESCAP visited China and honored the closing ceremony. This course is of great significance to the promotion of regional multilateral cooperation, especially substantial project cooperation.
