Faculty
The faculty for the course comprises professors,
experts and senior engineers from Academy of Opto-electronics (AOE),
China Remote Sensing Satellite Ground Station (RSGS), Institute
of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research (IGSNRR)
of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and China Spot Image (CSI)
and so on..
Methods and Teaching Aids
Modern teaching methods will be used during the course.
Teaching methods include class room lectures, video lectures, laboratory
visits, group discussion and case studies. Printed and digital (CD-ROM)
materials of the lectures will be supplied.
Educational tours
As part of the course, the participants will have
the opportunity to visit different facilities of the AOE, RSGR,
CAS, and other organizations concerned with remote sensing technology
and its applications.
Qualifications for Participation
People engaged in space technology and applications
in Asian countries, especially in Central Asian countries who meet
the following requirements may apply for this training course:
*With a Bachelor or higher academic degree or equivalent
qualification relevant to the field of study;
*With a minimum of two years of teaching /research/working
experience in space technology and its applications;
*Engineers/scientists working for government authorities
to carry out space activities, especially in the field of remote
sensing technology & its applications;
*Having a good command of English. Proficiency in
written and spoken English is most essential.
